PlayStation 5 Official Reveal Event on 11th June

Sony officially announced via their tweeter handle followed by PlayStation Blog that a Playstation 5 Official reveal even will be held on 11th june 2020 at 1:00 PM Pacific time.

PS5 Known Specs

On 18th May 2020 Sony breaks its silence about the specs of PS5. In an event Road to PS5, lead architect Mark Cerny took a deep dive into the specification of ps5. Although the event was targeted for developers due to cancellation of GDC 2020 because of it being streamed on the Playstation youtube channel, it was watched by millions.

Ps5 Known specs are as follows

  • CPU: 8x Zen 2 Cores at 3.5GHz (variable frequency)
  • GPU: Custom RDNA 2 – 10.28 TFLOPs, 36 CUs at 2.23GHz (variable frequency)
  • Memory: 16GB GDDR6/256-bit RAM, 448GB/s.
  • Storage: Custom 825GB SSD.
  • Expandable storage: NVMe SSD Slot, USB HDD support.
  • Optical drive: 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.
Unknowns

Though in a non-consumer-targeted event Sony did announce the specification of ps5 but a lot remains unknown to the date. The actual console, the price range, and the launch titles remains a mystery among the die-hard fans.

What Can we expect

Sony has been tight lip about anything related to PS5 and its event, though there are rumors spreading like fire in the community. and lately, rumors have been more accurate than not. If we believe the rumors then we are in for a treat on 11th June. Some reliable Analysts believe Sony is likely to stun everybody with its line up for PS5 titles.

Its is believed Horizon zero dawn 2 will make its debut in the event along with Gran Tourismo 7. BloodBorne Remaster for ps5 might be. Sony will surely reveal the looks of the console. It is expected that Resident Evil 8 will be revealed in the event as a third party title
